Image acquisition

gray scale function

We do not address image acquisition in this wiki. An image is analyzed as is. Then the user is given tools to discard what he considers noise.

A priori information about how the image was formed is of course very important. For example, one assumption may be that each pixel of the image collects all photons that hit it during the exposure which results in its intensity value. This only applies to gray scale images.

See Examples of image analysis.
