Question: Is infinity a limit?

Answer: technically, no. When we say that a limit is infinite, it means that it doesn't exist in the usual sense.

One can say also:

  • it's a special kind of limit (because infinite isn't a number), or
  • the limit doesn't exist but in a special (nicer) way.
